National Moot Court Competition on Human Rights and Migration


2015 – National Moot Court Competition on Human Rights and Migration (October 25-28)

The competition is organized by the Center for Human Rights and Migration, in partnership with the European Center for Legal Education and Research, Association of Jesuit Refugee Service in Romania (JRS) and the Legal Resources Center. The event is organized with the support of UNHCR Romania, the Embassy of the United States, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Embassy of Israel and the Embassy of United Kingdom in Bucharest.

The Competition aims to encourage graduate and master students that are interested in developing practical skills to be involved through the identification and solving of legal issues on human rights and migration in a simulated environment. The competition promotes fundamental ethical values, the spirit of fair play, competitiveness, teamwork and interpersonal communication. The evaluation has a scientific, practical, socio- educational and legal criteria.
